About this property

Welcome to The Symes Hot Springs Hotel & Mineral Baths

Situated in the heart of Hot Springs, Montana, The Symes Hot Springs Hotel & Mineral Baths offers a relaxed, down-to-earth atmosphere within a 1930s Mission-style building. The hotel is well known for its natural hot springs pools, featuring varied temperatures and sulfur-rich waters that many guests find soothing and restorative. This historical setting contributes to its charm, with original artwork and antiques adding character throughout the property.

Facilities include a spa, outdoor pool, and an on-site restaurant alongside the Daily Grind Espresso Bar, which receives positive mentions for quality coffee and convenient access. Rooms come equipped with kitchens and air conditioning, making them suitable for guests seeking self-catering options. The property is pet- and kid-friendly, smoke-free, and accessible, with free parking and Wi-Fi available, though some reviews note the accommodations feel outdated and rustic rather than modern or luxurious.

SYMES HOTEL and Hot Springs is a unique and hidden gem with healing waters and wonderful people in this small town. It is eclectic it is creative. There’s a lot of different things to do around the Community people from all around the world come to see and soak in these healing waters and it’s quiet and it’s historical. You can definitely tell the history of how it started. You can check out the La Rue museum and places around there, but it itself is its own historical place it’s got a banquet hall. It’s got a restaurant that’s open seven days a week for breakfast there’s dinner. There’s also Dj/ karaoke & live music on the weekends. That’s what I do And there’s the Daily Grind on site where you can get your favorite coffee drink and Soul Fusion which is a gift shop plus there’s a lot of other antiques and original artwork around the hotel that you can purchase. La Cantina also has local beers and wines you have everything on site it’s very Convenient. I’ve stayed there many times with my husband and my family just loves it. It’s just quiet and people can just feel peace thank you, Leslee SMITH, For the wonderful atmosphere, you put there and all the updates that are happening just a wonderful place full of friends and smiles.

Beautiful location. Unbelievably hospitable staff! Historic facilities. The strong sulfur smell of the spring water takes a bit to get used to, but is expected. The hot spring water felt so relaxing on a 28°F night!

This place is a hidden gem!! It Is definitely run down, but has a lot of potential. I will say when pulling up we were like WTH did I get us into! But we stayed. I heard it was haunted and very rustic and I got just that! So in the end it was exactly what I needed a step back in time. The staff was great Amber helped us check in she was fantastic very understanding and even worked with us.our first room was terrible so she gave me options and even allowed us to look before we choose. When we got into our room there was hair in our bath and sink. They got room service up there right away and got us taken care of. I will say this place could use a deep clean!!! And alot of work however I have to remind myself it’s from the 1930 and I wanted to take that step back in time. Everyone staff wise very friendly , helpful. The soak was amazing. I will say they are very populated which I was hoping for more of a secluded area. Which I found out on our last dip There was one which ran about 110. Dinner was amazing! As well as all the old antiques the had through out the building. They had a coffee shop right inside love that!! It’s pet friendly. I will be staying again probably this winter however I’ll most likely take the room that has a mineral jacuzzi tub and is updated.

"Great spot to unwind and enjoy the relaxing warm water! The experience was soothing and peaceful. The hotel itself could use a remodel to feel a bit more modern and inviting, but overall it’s still a pleasant stop."

First time here. I absolutely LOVE this place. It’s funky. It’s old. It’s an historic site. The pools are amazing. The food is fantastic and I’m a food snob from California. The people are ridiculously friendly, the rooms are clean and affordable. If you come here expecting luxury accommodations, you’ve got the wrong place. My room was clean, the bed was super SUPER comfy - I don’t sleep well and I slept like the dead. There was Karaoke happening the night I was there and it was SO FUN. The place is SAFE. I accidentally left me keys (to my room and my truck) in the door all night long. They were still there in the morning and many people were walking up and down the hallway in the hours before I went to sleep. They must have thought I was a bit daft. I can’t say enough about how pleasant my stay here was. The coffee is STRONG. I think the negative reviews come from people who are entitled and snotty. This place is fantastic. I only stayed here because wild horse was full but next time I’ll come here instead. There’s no wifi in the rooms but there is plenty of 5G. The pools are HOT at 103/105/110. They’re sulfury, basic and totally delightful. There’s an 85 degree pool you can just sit in forever.

Rooms are outdated and definitely need a good clean so if that's too bothersome for you don't go. It's old and even says they're looking for staff.... BESIDES THAT! I don't go for the room. I go to enjoy the hot springs. There's a variety of pools at different temps. Very laid back atmosphere which I appreciate. And it's in the middle of nowhere. Perfect. My kind of Montana place.

Kind of a funky little place. Takes you back to the 40s or 50s. We like it! There's 4 pools each with a different temperatures, all with a Sulphur smell, but oh so soothing and relaxing.
